WhatsApp: Account Protection
If a WhatsApp account is to be transferred to another device, WhatsApp first checks the identity of the user. Users will be prompted on the old device to confirm the additional security check.
The feature will warn if someone tries to move the account to another device.
WhatsApp: device verification
WhatsApp has integrated checking functions into Messenger to prevent malware from exploiting the personal phone without permission and using WhatsApp to send unwanted messages. This authenticates the account without the user having to do anything.
