CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue. This Tuesday the application of the second dose (booster) will begin to complete the vaccination scheme against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, for those over 60 years of age in San Andrés Cholula, while in the Mixteca region the distribution of the biological will begin. to later carry out the immunization, informed the Secretary of Health, José Antonio Martínez García.
The official announced that in San Andrés Cholula 10 thousand 725 people will be immunized, while in the Mixteca there are 41 thousand 623.
Regarding the update of the epidemiological report, the head of the Health Services pointed out that during the holidays for Easter, 398 new coronavirus infections were confirmed, while the number of deaths amounted to 59.
He detailed that, per day, the cases were confirmed of COVID-19 as follows: Thursday, 118; Friday, 161; Saturday, 56, and Sunday, 63. The deaths due to this disease were: 25, 17, 13 and four, respectively.
Of the current cases, between outpatients and hospitalized, Martínez García said that there are 380 distributed in 37 municipalities. Regarding hospitalized people, he commented that there are 594; of them, 100 are intubated.
Regarding the distribution of patients by medical unit, he indicated that there are 200 in units of the Secretariat; Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), 194; ISSSTE, 64; ISSSTEP, 56; private institutions, 55; University Hospital, 22, and Regional Military Hospital, three.
