It seems that quadruple Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel will be the new teammate of Quebecer Lance Stroll at Aston Martin starting next season.

At least that’s what the German daily newspaper “Bild” said on Tuesday. The Mexican ESPN network site then reported on Wednesday that Sergio Perez – Stroll’s current teammate at Racing Point, who will become Aston Martin in 2021 – was aware of the offer presented to Vettel.
Since Lance’s father, Lawrence Stroll, is at the head of the stable, Perez would be dismissed. He holds a contract valid until 2022, but according to “Bild”, an exit clause which the team can rely on is included in the pact and is valid until July 31.
The official announcement could thus be made on August 2, on the occasion of the British Grand Prix.
The transfer season started when Vettel was sidelined by Ferrari in May, after six years and two runner-up titles with Scuderia. He will be replaced by Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr., who will leave his place at McLaren to Australian Daniel Ricciardo.
Renault’s side, Fernando Alonso of Spain, twice world champion, will take over from Ricciardo.
Perez’s agent told ESPN that the Mexican – sponsored by millions of dollars by the telecommunications company Telmex – was going to consider all the options for 2021. The American team Haas, which lost its main sponsor in 2019 , is an option. Alfa Romeo also, since Kimi Raikkonen will blow 41 candles this fall.
