SEB Announces Creation of Logistics Platform in Til-Châtel to Distribute Cookware in Western Europe

The Burgundian group has announced the creation of a logistics platform in the town of Til-Châtel (Côte-d’Or), to distribute its cookware on the markets of Western Europe. A hundred positions should be created initially.

For those who don’t know, the B in SEB stands for Burgundy. And it is in view of this regional, historical anchoring that the group will strengthen its presence in Côte-d’Or: 30 million euros will be invested in the creation of a logistics platform in Til-Châtel, in the north -east of Dijon, to distribute its pressure cookers and other cookware on Western European markets.

The Til-Châtel site, a 13-hectare site, was chosen because of its proximity to the A31 motorway and the other SEB sites, inselongey and Is-sur-Tille. 60,000 m2 of warehouses will be built there by 2025.

We are proud to continue to contribute to the economic attractiveness of the Côte-d’Or, declared the president of the SEB group, Thierry de la Tour d’Artaise. AT At a time when we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the pressure cooker born in Burgundy, SEB is fighting to promote the know-how of a French group. The new platform in Til-Châtel will make it possible to centralize supplies and optimize flows to our customers in France and Europe.“.

A hundred jobs could be created in Til-Châtel, when the activity starts. “Up to 150 eventually“, specifies the group in a press release. SEB, founded in 1857 inselongey, has 11 industrial sites in France and employs nearly 32,000 people around the world.
