TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Final Liga Champions between Liverpool vs Real Madrid will take place at the Stade de France, Sunday (29/5/2022) early morning WIB.

Kick off match Liverpool vs Real Madrid which was originally scheduled to start at 02.00 WIB had to be postponed by about 36 minutes.

According to an update from the Sky Sports website, kick off had to be postponed due to crowds outside the stadium.

The crowd overflowed with the venue for the Champions League Final stadium to be precise at the security checkpoint leading to the entrance.

UEFA itself has released a notification on the big screen in the stadium regarding the postponement of kick off.

Initially in the notification it was delayed 15 minutes but what happened was about 36 minutes.

“Due to the late arrival of fans at the stadium, the match has been postponed. Further information will follow in a maximum of 15 minutes.” UEFA release.

BT Sport also reports that fans Liverpool had been hit by tear gas outside the stadium as they struggled to get in.

Adam Bate of Sky Sports, who was inside the Stade de France, said: “Confusion inside the stadium. Warnings and whistles at the time of postponement announced, due to ‘safety concerns’. Pre-match routine in place, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ played, warm-up done, so now they’re trying to pass the time. Weird atmosphere.”

The Associated Press reported that there were sporadic instances of fans, apparently ticketless, breaking through security and trying to get into stadiums.
