Thomas Sean Connery was born on August 25, 1930, to a poor Edinburgh family, served in the British Royal Navy, worked in a variety of jobs, and began filming in 1954.

For millions of viewers around the world, he will be remembered as James Bond, the protagonist who was immortalized in 1962 by the actor in his first film as a British superagent (“Dr. No”). Connie has played the hero created by Ian Fleming in a total of seven films.

In 2000, the actor was appointed a knight.

Connery was also known as an active supporter of the idea of ​​Scottish independence.

His last film was in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 2003. Two years later, the actor announced that he would no longer be filming.
