A scooter rider was seriously injured in a one-sided accident on Amsterdamseweg in Amstelveen tonight. The victim was no longer conscious.
The emergency services were alerted around 7:50 p.m. Due to the victim’s medical condition, which included injuries to his head, a mobile medical trauma team was also called.
The Traffic Accident Analysis (VOA) of the police has started an investigation. “It is still being investigated whether the scooter rider has lost control of the wheel or whether he has collided with something,” said a police spokesman.
Earlier in the evening, around 7.15 p.m., there was also a single-vehicle accident involving a scooter rider. That happened on the Witte de Withstraat in West. Little is known about the victim’s injuries, but it seems that it was less serious than in the accident on Amsterdamseweg.
