Scientists Find New Cancer Treatment, Called Extend Life Expectancy to Replace Chemotherapy

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Original scientist Israel has created ways to treat cancer such as using ‘little scissors’ to target cancer cells in the body.

The experiments have been carried out successfully on mice, according to a report.

“This is the first study in the world to prove that the CRISPR genome editing system, which works by cutting DNA, can be effectively used to treat cancer in animals,” said Professor Dan Peer, a cancer specialist at Tel Aviv University.

Reporting from New York Post, the peer research was published last week in the journal Science Advances.

“There are no side effects, and we are confident that cancer cells treated in this way will never become active again.”

He also added that the technology can extend the life expectancy of cancer patients and we hope, one day, to cure the disease.

Hopefully, this method can replace chemotherapy treatment in the future.

“If we can use this technology, then in three treatments we can destroy tumors. This technology can physically cut DNA in cancer cells, and the cells will not survive, “said Peer.

This study used genome editing technology using lipid nanoparticles targeted for cancer therapy.

Scientists used the technique on hundreds of mice, and Peer says the method could potentially be used in humans within two years.
