Scientists: COVID patients are susceptible to mental illness

The researchers studied the medical data of more than 235 thousand US residents who have recovered from coronavirus.

Patients who have undergone hospitalization are more vulnerable to mental problems, but even those who have had Covid-19 at home are equally insured against various kinds of diseases, including depression and stroke.

The study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, further highlights that the coronavirus can cause serious mental health damage. How irreparable these consequences are remains to be seen.
