JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) claimed to be surprised by the hawker virus klepon is not islamic.
It also asked the person who first posted klepon is not islamic it is responsible for explaining the purpose of his statement.

The man born in Lima Puluh Kota, West Sumatra, revealed that klepon food is made from halal ingredients.
Klepon is made from glutinous rice which has brown sugar in it. Then to be able to use green pandan. All ingredients are not unclean.
“If nothing is unclean from the ingredients. If the results of a research study and found an unlawful element please,” he explained.
