A strong first half was enough for VfL Wolfsburg to make it 2-0 against weak Schalke players.
From the first minute on, VfL Wolfsburg was clearly superior and it only took three minutes to score the first goal against Schalke (Weghorst). In the first half, the Wolves increased to 2-0 from their point of view (Schlager `24.). In between and after that, Schalke owed the newly appointed number 1 in goal, Freddy Rönnow, that they were no longer behind. The second half started with more momentum and more chances on the Schalke side, but the offensive also missed great chances (Uth, Raman, Paciencia). So it stayed at 0: 2 and the next defeat for FC Schalke.
