At the beginning of July, MEP of Law and Justice Beata Mazurek posted on Twitter an entry regarding the presidential debate planned by TVN24, Onet and WP. “Trzaskowski is afraid of debate with Poles. He prefers to set up a debate in WSI 24 and German Onet. This is an example of contempt for voters from smaller towns. Inhabitants of Końskie and Poles will soon bill him,” Mazurek wrote.

The US ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher responded to the information provided by PiS MEP. “You know very well that you are spreading something that is an absolute lie, suggesting that TVN is WSI. You should be ashamed. This is below the dignity of a person who represents Poles” – we could read in the post the US ambassador.

After this statement, in the course of a discussion on Twitter, an entry appeared from the official profile of the Chancellery of the Sejm, saying: “Diplomatic scandal because he writes the truth? A politician in his own country has to roll his ears because the ambassador of another country snarled?”

The Sejm Information Center explains
At Wednesday’s press conference before the Sejm meeting, Marshal Elżbieta Witek was asked about the entry. Andrzej Grzegrzółka, director of the Sejm Information Center, provided explanations in this matter. He emphasized that the entry was removed very quickly. – This information, this entry (…) was quickly eliminated. Probably someone did not really log out using Twitter and used the parliament account – he explained.

– For me it was shocking and information that I never expected (…) – he emphasized. Grzegrzółka said it was a “scandalous entry”. – This type of thing has no place in the official profiles of the Chancellery of the Sejm, nor in my opinion even in the non-official activities of the officials of the Chancellery of the Sejm, said the director of the CIS.

– Our steps were radical, decisive, I condemn this type of activity, first of all, we changed the password to access our social media, we significantly reduced the number of people who deal with it and I hope that such situations will never happen again. I regret that this type of entry, this type of activity on the official channel of the Chancellery of the Sejm occurred – stressed Andrzej Grzegrzółka.
