After leaving Cirebon, West Java, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) continues his safari to Semarang tonight. SBY conveyed a message so that election participants could maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
SBY was in Semarang to meet Democratic Party cadres at the Aroem restaurant, Thursday (30/11/2023) evening. During the event, SBY advised the cadres and legislative candidates to always fight in good ways.
“I tell them, fight well, in a good way, there is no need to badmouth others, other parties, other presidential candidates. Just tell them, for example, why the Democrats support the Prabowo-Gibran presidential candidate,” said SBY, as reported detikJatengThursday (30/11/2023).
SBY said that the three presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs competing in the 2024 presidential election are figures with good intentions. However, according to him, Prabowo-Gibran is the one who is better prepared and able to lead Indonesia.
“Even though the three pairs are both good, both have good intentions, both are figures, the Democrats are nominating Prabowo-Gibran because we believe Prabowo is more capable, more capable and more ready to lead Indonesia,” said SBY.
SBY also stated that his relationship with the other two presidential and vice presidential candidates was quite good.
“We have solidly supported the pair Pak Prabowo and Pak Gibran, even though they are my friends too, Pak Ganjar also has a good relationship with me, Pak Mahfud is also good, Pak Anies, Pak Muhaimin Iskandar,” said SBY.
