A man has been arrested in connection with the abduction of a young woman by a gold smuggling gang. Peter (36) was arrested at Ranniparambil, Kurattikkad. Bindu was abducted by a gang of four at around 3 am on Monday at Kurattikkad Vismaya Bhavan. Peter was arrested for showing the house to the mob and helping them.

Police had earlier found local help in the incident. Peter has nothing to do with gold smuggling. Police said they only helped the group. The gold was brought for Hanifa. Four persons, including Rajesh Prabha, were in the vehicle in which the girl was abducted. All the accused are absconding. The search for them has intensified. SIS Radhakrishna Pillai, ASIs Sreekumar and M Madhusoodhanan and CPOs Arun, Inshad, Riyas and Shebin were also with the probe team.

Gold smuggling: Bindu with more revelations about the gang kidnapping incident. Bindu said that he had no connection with the gold smuggling gangs and when he came to know that the bag given by Hanifa from Malappuram was gold, he left it at the Mali airport. They are being treated at a private hospital in Parumala for serious injuries sustained in the abduction. The spine is severely damaged. Can’t walk by myself.

Bindu meets Haneef from Malappuram, a member of a gold smuggling gang, in Dubai. He became acquainted with Bindu’s husband Binoy after he regularly called a taxi. According to Bindu, the bag was handed over by Hanifa from Dubai on the 19th.

Bindu was abducted by a group of about 15 people at his home in Mannar Kurattikkad Vismaya Bhavan at around 3 am on Monday. Later it was abandoned on the roadside in Palakkad North Kerala.
