PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) officially inoculated the Honda PCX Hybrid. The service life of the hybrid scooter must end after making its debut in Indonesia in 2018.
The news of the death of PCX Hybrid in Indonesia was also confirmed by GM Corporate Communication of PT AHM, Ahmad Muhibbuddin. According to him, the vehicle is just waiting for the remaining stock at the dealer to run out.
“So now there are still not many units, at certain dealers,” said Ahmad Muhibbuddin, quoted on Saturday (28/1/2023).

Honda PCX Hybrid itself has disappeared from the product list on the manufacturer’s official website. According to Muhib, confiscated from CNN Indonesia, the motorcycle received a good response from consumers in Indonesia. However, given the limited market (niche), the sales are not too big.
“This motorbike is well received by the public considering that this model is a pioneer for hybrid technology motorbikes in Indonesia. Its sales figures are indeed not as big as conventional motorbikes because the market is really niche,” he said.
It is known that PCX Hybrid was launched for the first time in Indonesia with local assembly status in 2018. At that time, the motorbike was equipped with a 150 cc engine before finally undergoing major updates in 2021.

The Honda PCX Hybrid uses the same engine as the Honda PCX 160, namely the 156.9 cc eSP+ with a four-valve SOHC configuration. These specifications are combined with a 50.4 volt 4 ampere lithium-ion battery.
This model is also equipped with an ACG starter which functions as an assist motor and a Power Drive Unit (PDU). Thanks to this technology, the vehicle can get an additional power of 1.7 hp and 4.3 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm engine speed.
Before being euthanized, or to be precise at the end of December last year, the Honda PCX Hybrid was priced at IDR 45 million with Jakarta on the road status.
