The statue of the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in front of the stadium of the Malmo FF has been badly damaged again. Unknown sawn off the bronze statue above the feet on the night of January 5. Pictures show how the three-meter-high figure lies on a collapsed fence that was attached after the previous damage. In addition, the head of the statue was black T-shirt wrapped up, the perpetrators sprayed the words “Remove them” on the floor.
The motive for the attack is probably the anger that there has been recently about the soccer star. Ibrahimovic comes from Malmö’s problem area Rosengård, he spent his first years as a professional football player with Malmö FF. At the end of November, he announced that he would become a shareholder in the Stockholm first division club Hammarby IF. This move caused a lot of disappointment in Malmö. The Ibrahimovic statue was subsequently damaged and smeared several times. It had only been inaugurated in October.
