1. FC Köln has terminated the contract with Sava-Arangel Čestić with immediate effect.
Jörg Jakobs, responsible for sport at FC, says that “we have had an open exchange with Sava since the summer”. This is how the decision came about “that it is best for everyone involved to dissolve the contract”.
In the summer of 2019, Čestić moved from FC Schalke 04 to the Cologne U19 team. With the professionals, the central defender collected eleven appearances in the Bundesliga.
