Saudi Arabia and the Emirates Reach Understanding for Armistice Agreement before Eid al-Fitr, and Withdrawal from Yemen

A member of the political bureau of the “Ansar Allah” movement, Muhammad al-Bukhaiti, revealed the existence of an “understanding with Saudi Arabia,” stressing that “I cannot talk about its details,” after news of the intention of a Saudi-Omani delegation to go to Sana’a next week to discuss a permanent truce.

He revealed, according to what was reported by Al-Mayadeen TV, in an interview with it, that “the UAE withdrew from Yemen,” explaining, “We will not accept the survival of the UAE forces on any inch of Yemeni territory,” considering that “the UAE’s participation in Saudi Arabia’s aggression against Yemen, It was a big mistake and the UAE should take a lesson and withdraw.”

Al-Bukhaiti stressed that “the conditions for achieving the armistice are different from the conditions for achieving peace,” and that “the internal solution is left to all the active Yemeni forces, and we send a message to the Yemenis involved in the aggression not to miss the opportunity,” declaring that “any Saudi intention to achieve peace with Yemen, Or any other side, we will strengthen the Saudi position,” stressing that “the armistice will be agreed upon before Eid al-Fitr, with an understanding in two stages.”

Earlier in the day, Reuters reported, quoting two sources, that “a Saudi and Omani delegation intends to go to Sana’a next week to discuss a permanent truce with the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement,” noting that “the Yemeni authorities may announce a truce agreement before Eid.” If the talks succeed.
