Saudi Airlines Airbus A330 Involved in Accident at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan

Saudi Airlines revealed details of what happened to its plane at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan, today, Saturday.

And Saudi Airlines said, in a media statement: “Saudi Airlines clarifies that its Airbus A330, flight number SV458, had an accident at Khartoum International Airport.”

She explained that the accident occurred “before its take-off, bound for Riyadh, at exactly 7:30 UTC this morning, Saturday, April 15.”

She added, “Immediately, the emergency team in Saudi Arabia responded, as all flights to and from Sudan were suspended until further notice.”

And she continued: “The work teams are also working side by side with all relevant authorities, led by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Sudan, to obtain more information about this incident.”

On Saturday morning, violent clashes with weapons broke out between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, amid conflicting reports about the causes and places of control of each, while several countries called for calm.

The clashes are taking place in the capital, Khartoum, and other places in the country, which have been suffering from tensions and convulsions in the recent period.
