The departure comes late yesterday afternoon, after two lively days internal debate triggered by the visit to Treviso. But from Bologna they do not break up and reply by talking about instrumentalization for personal purposes. The post of Ogongo arrives at 18.25 – they write in a note – in which it attacks the founders of the Sardine movement, without the knowledge of all the people who organized the demonstration in Piazza San Giovanni on 14 December 2019. It arrives after days of silence , of missed responses to the thousand calls made and messages sent. For the leaders of the movement it would be a solitary forward flight by those who aspired to a role but failed to obtain it. The sardines of Rome completely dissociate themselves from what Ogongo wrote – the official press release that relaunches the real Fb page of the Sardines of Rome continues – which acted alone and expresses only its thoughts. The boys of the Roman group are baffled but united more than ever. Aware of the work done so far and convinced that they can move forward in respect of those values that have adorned our squares for the good of all.

For Ogongo, the visit to Treviso was not only a mistake (an ingenuit has it defined Mattia Santori): For those who believed in the values expressed in the squares of the Sardines, it was a huge disappointment that seriously undermined the integrity and credibility of the movement. The now disavowed Roman activist launches two poisonous questions: If there was nothing to hide, why didn’t they make their visit to Fabrica public before? Why didn’t they post the photo themselves after the event? The reply is dry: Certain that the photo taken in Fabrica triggered various reactions, the Roman sardines, reasoning with the modus vivendi that has always characterized the movement, recognizing the possible ingenuity error, they continue confident that the image should not be looked at box but its content, made of art and culture.
