Santos FC Presidential Election Disrupted by Fans: Recap and Candidates

Fans disrupt Santos FC presidential elections

A group of Santos FC fans tried to invade the gym in Vila Belmiro, this Saturday afternoon (9), where members are voting to choose the club’s new president. Images obtained by g1 show a security team carrying out containment before the Police Shock Troops were called. (watch the video above).

The team from TV Tribuna, a Globo affiliate, discovered at the scene that the voting was stopped for 20 minutes, and the members were removed from the place at the beginning of the confusion.

The atmosphere has been tense since last Wednesday (6), when the black and white team was relegated to Série B after being defeated by Fortaleza 2-1 at Vila Belmiro.
