The Municipal Police of Madrid has filed this Saturday 1,434 sanction proposals, two hundred more than the day before, on the first day of permission to do sports and walks, according to Efe municipal sources.

The coincidence with the festive day for the Community Day, accompanied by the good weather of the first hours, facilitated the influx of people doing sports in the streets, both runners and cyclists, taking advantage of the low traffic of these days of confinement.

Despite the fact that in the Spanish capital the parks remain closed to avoid contagions, some citizens skipped the precincts and saw crowds in places such as the Puente de Vallecas or Puerta de Toledo.

Municipal agents also intercepted 51 vehicles that were circulating without authorization. Compared to Friday, fines increased (1,192) and arrests decreased (3). The intercepted vehicles also descended (132).
For its part, the National Police made a minimal increase in their complaints, which went to 994 this Saturday by 985 last Friday, according to reports to the Chief of Police.
The arrests increased more dramatically, from two on the eve to ten in the past 24 hours.
Since the start of the state of alarm, 36,631 fines have been raised and 772 people have been arrested.
