The well-known American company Whirlpool Corporation, which manufactures washing machines and other household appliances, leaves the Russian market. The giant owns the brands Indesit and Hotpoint.

It is noted that Whirlpool Corporation is selling all its assets that are in the territory of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the Turkish company Arcelik has already signed an agreement with Whirlpool EMEA SpA on the purchase of Indesit International JSC and Whirlpool Rus LLC.
Thus, Arcelik will have at its disposal production facilities in Lipetsk. The total amount of the contract is estimated at 220 million euros.
