San José Obrero will continue to count on full-back Nagore Saenz

The player from La Rioja will complete her second campaign at the club

CB San José Obrero continues to lay the foundations for next season in its women’s team, a team that returns to the Women’s Silver Honor Division and with the aim of fighting for the top positions in the classification. The club continues to guarantee the continuity of last season’s block and has completed the renewal of the full-back Nagore Saenz.

Nagore Saenz Santamaría, born on February 7, 1994 in Logroño, is a player who occupies the position of left back on the playing field and who, due to her height, 1.81 meters, can also play the role of pivot. It stands out for its physical size that allows it to play well in the distance and has a good outside launch.

After sealing his continuity with San José Obrero, Nagore Saenz is “very grateful that the club has me for another year and shows that despite not achieving the objectives, he continues to trust me” and considers that “we are making a very competitive to be able to fight to return to the Division of Women’s Honor ”.

He has had no doubts when it comes to accepting the offer to continue on the island of Lanzarote and complete his second season at San José Obrero. “At all times I have felt that the club has trusted me,” says the player and affirms that “I have decided to bet one more year on San José Obrero to fight and leave the club where it deserves, I feel very comfortable here.”

She arrived last season from Conservas Orbe Rubensa Porriño Handball and from the first moment she became one of the regulars in coach David Betancort’s schemes. In the just concluded campaign he played a total of 22 games and in which he scored 62 goals, despite the physical discomfort he suffered in various phases of the season.

He is grateful for the support he has received from the fans in a complicated season marked by restrictions on public access to the Municipal Pavilion of Titerroy. “I have met the fans in the worst moments and despite being few due to the situation due to covid-19, I feel fortunate to have it” and he assures that “I really want to know it 100%”.

The continuity of Nagore Saenz joins the renewals of goalkeeper Ana Marín, winger Gema Trujillo, winger Sara de León and pivot Miriam Páez.
