In the past, we wrote about the first generation of this projector, which surprises not only with practical dimensions, but also with high-quality image and sound. It didn’t take long for Samsung to realize the opportunity it had with video game players, so it added a more powerful processor and other gaming-enhancing features to the device. Now it also comes with an action offer for cloud gaming under advantageous conditions.
You can take this compact device anywhere, it is relatively small and light (with dimensions of 102.4 x 172.8 x 95.2 mm and a weight of only 0.83 kg). Thanks to the stand, which allows rotation up to 180°, you can use it to project the image on the wall, so you can play the game even from bed.
A faster processor for gamers
Compared to the previous generation, this model has a more powerful processor and higher memory, which has greatly helped to eliminate the lag and stuttering that was an occasional problem with the 1st generation Freestyle. This is especially useful when playing. The projector offers the Xbox gaming application with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service, with which you will have access to the Xbox game library containing the most interesting game titles. At the same time, thanks to cloud gaming, you don’t have to have the console itself with you. You can also use the Xbox Game Pass service on selected Samsung smart TVs, among others.
The projector can also replace a smart TV – after connecting to the Internet, you can access OOT applications and services from Samsung. Unlike other projectors, it has automatic image optimization – it balances, smooths, sharpens and improves colors. It doesn’t matter which wall you project onto, the result will always be the same high-quality image. It can do this thanks to the intelligent functions of Auto Keystone, Auto Leveling and Auto Focus. The first generation of the projector already had these functions, thanks to a more powerful processor, the automatic image adjustment of the second generation of the projector is even faster and more accurate.
The image resolution is Full HD (1080p), the color quality is labeled PurColor. The projector reaches a diagonal of up to 100″, and if even this is not enough for you, you can connect it with another projector and thus move the dimensions up to 160″. These dimensions will ensure you a high-quality movie experience, unlike a television, whose size limits the ability to fully perceive details. With such a large screen, for example, you will enjoy space travel much more, because the image will simply absorb you. And we’re not even talking about the sound, which is really excellent considering the size of the device.
Samsung guarantees 360° sound without adding additional speakers. The duration of the original external battery, which is charged through the classic USB-C port, is about three hours. Of course, you can project even if the device is connected to electricity, another option is to buy a second flashlight or power bank.
