Samsung’s new mid-range smartphone unveiled in pictures

Samsung is about to launch a new series of mid-range smartphones, including a very affordable Galaxy A23 5G device. We already know what the smartphone will look like before its official presentation.

The famous leaker OnLeaks has just revealed on the social network Twitter what the next affordable smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy A23 5G, will look like.

Like every year, this new model of the Galaxy A20 series should be among the best-selling smartphones in the world, and we already know what it looks like. It will directly succeed the Galaxy A22 of 2021.

As unveiled by leaker OnLeaks, the Galaxy A23 5G will not use the same design as its predecessor. We will always find a 13 MP selfie sensor placed in a notch with a fairly imposing lower border, but this time the smartphone adopts the same layout as the other Galaxy A smartphones for its rear cameras.

Four cameras on the Galaxy A23

Unlike previous models, the Galaxy A23 5G relies on a four-camera photo setup. The smartphone should use a 50 MP main sensor, an ultra sensor 8 MP wide-angle as well as two other 2 MP sensors still unknown.

OnLeaks also reveals that the Galaxy A23 5G will be powered by a puce MediaTek Dimensity 700. This allows it, as its name suggests, to be compatible with 5G networks. The smartphone is equipped a 6.4-inch IPS LCD screenwhile the slightly more expensive models will be entitled to an OLED screen.

Finally, we can note the presence of a fingerprint sensor placed on the edge, a port jack 3.5 mm and the device is expected to measure 165.4 x 77.0 x 8.5mm. Price level, we expect the smartphone to be positioned below 300 euros. It should therefore compete directly with Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 11, which all seem to offer much better value for money. For those looking for more premium Samsung smartphones, the Korean giant recently launched its new Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra.
