In South Korea, the number of reported cases of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is growing rapidly. According to information Samsung, SARS-CoV-2 virus was detected by a company subcontractor who worked near the cafeteria of the plant on its territory. The cafeteria is open until Sunday at least. Disinfection of the premises is carried out there. At the same time, the patient allegedly had few contacts with factory workers. Therefore, the company continues to operate as before. Also on Saturday, Samsung announced that it re-closed smartphone factory in Kumi. This company has already been stopped for three days for disinfection activities. Last Saturday, a case of one infection with a coronavirus from a plant employee was detected there. After disinfection, the Kumi plant returned to operation, but is now stopped again and the company is not ready to say when it will be reopened.
In addition, problems may arise in another Samsung company in the same city. On Friday, in the first round of testing, the SARS-CoV-2 virus was confirmed by a Samsung employee at a network equipment factory. Now repeated testing is underway, after which a decision can be made on further work or shutdown of the enterprise where the infected employee of the company worked.
Finally, another employee of the company is in quarantine of their own free will. Last week, this man was on a business trip at the Samsung factory in the city of Suwon, where he was in contact with an identified patient. To date, 3150 cases of infection with the Wuhan coronavirus have been confirmed in South Korea, and only ten days ago only 80 infected were detected in this country.
