Samsung Mexico promotes education with an audiobook volunteer – Samsung Newsroom Mexico

For Samsung Mexico, supporting the training of new generations, regardless of the conditions, is the way to build a better tomorrow. The leading technology brand seeks to fulfill this commitment through contests, programs and volunteering, this time through an initiative that seeks to promote culture together with Penguin Random House, the renowned publishing group.

This is a volunteer program in which more than 35 employees of Samsung México from Mexico City and Querétaro will participate, while Penguin Random House will be in charge of training the staff online, during which six audiobooks of classic children’s stories will be recorded : The 3 little pigs, Cinderella, Jack and the magic beans, Goldilocks, Sleeping Beauty Y Thumb.

Participants will be divided into six teams and will have remote training sessions with a professional storyteller. The recording will also be done remotely and each audiobook will go through a post-production process, which will include sound effects and ambience to build an atmosphere in each story.

The final result will be shared with children through specialized organizations such as: the EDUCA Foundation, the Private Assistance Board, the Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired “Ezequiel Hernández Romo”, the Friendship House, Ilumina, DIF Querétaro, among other. Likewise, it has the support of the CDMX Secretary of Culture.

Regardless of the limitations, everyone has the right to comprehensive training that prepares the little ones to fulfill their dreams, so at Samsung Mexico we hope that these audiobooks will become a window to develop the imagination and complement the development of children and the girls benefited”, Commented Diana Hernández Cid, Social Responsibility Manager of Samsung Electronics México.

This volunteering joins the various initiatives of the company, with which it seeks to support the education of Mexican youth, among which are: Solve for Tomorrow e Innovation Campus, which motivate young people to perform and prepare in STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines.

In this way, Samsung Mexico continues with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts by promoting education in the development of the youngest, at the same time that it invites its employees to social participation that makes a difference.
