Notable insider Evan Blass toldthat the pre-order for the new product will open on September 2, and it will be on sale on September 18.

The new Galaxy Z Fold 2 fixes many of the flaws of the first model. The main screen has been removed from the large notch in the corner, and the external secondary display now takes up almost the entire surface, and not a small part. It also changed the design to make the smartphone more durable, and increased the display to 7.6 inches.

The main display of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has become not only larger, but also received support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as in the classic flagship Galaxy S20. On this screen, animations and games look smoother and more responsive because the picture is refreshed twice as often as on standard 60Hz displays. But stylus support was never added.

For the rest of the parameters, this is a classic flagship – Snapdragon 865 Plus, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory, a 4500 mAh battery.

The price of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 was never announced. Most likely, it will cost as a cross between last year’s Galaxy Fold and the new “clamshell” Galaxy Z Flip:
