Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia The Samsung Galaxy S24 series comes with various improvements, one of which is the ‘Galaxy AI’ feature which brings artificial intelligence technology more comprehensively.

The most premium Galaxy S24 Ultra variant is also clad in stronger titanium material. Apart from that, the screen is coated with anti-reflective coating which makes the experience of trying out the cellphone outdoors more comfortable.

However, several early users of the Galaxy S24 Ultra were busy complaining about the ‘Vivid’ mode in the cellphone screen setting option. According to them, the ‘Vivid’ mode in the series is no different from the ‘Natural’ mode.

In fact, on other Samsung cellphones, there is a significant difference between the ‘Normal’ and ‘Vivid’ settings. Many users reported this issue on the online forum Reddit and on X (formerly Twitter).

However, it should be noted that the ‘Natural’ screen setting on the Galaxy S24 has no problems at all. The depth and sharpness of colors still appear excellent with the premium Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen specifications with QHD+ resolution. The refresh rate also adjusts to needs, from 1-120Hz.

However, ‘Vivid’ mode will usually further increase the level of clarity, contrast and sharpness of the screen. This mode will also improve the experience when outdoors, quoted from PhoneArena, Monday (5/2/2024).

Previously, many speculated that the ‘Vivid’ mode issue on the Galaxy S24 Ultra screen was caused by a bug. Samsung is said to be fixing it with a software update.

Samsung Statement Regarding Complaints about ‘Vivid’ Screen Mode

However, AndroidPolice reported that Samsung Spain has opened its voice in response to this issue. According to the South Korean giant, the ‘Vivid’ setting which is not much different from ‘Natural’ on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is not due to a bug.

Samsung is said to have deliberately given it a ‘Vivid’ feel that feels more natural. Furthermore, Samsung Spain’s statement also said that current screen technology is improving and prioritizing accuracy for users.

“We have adjusted the color and brightness of Galaxy S24 series products to provide a more accurate and comfortable display when used. Several changes have been made to the screen technology to provide a more natural viewing experience, so users may notice a difference in color depth compared to older devices,” it said in a Samsung Spain statement reported by Android Police.

“This display is an intentional color adjustment and is not a product defect, so it can be used safely. To offer the best experience to our customers, we value your feedback and continue to improve our software (UX) as market and consumer interest grows.”
