Samsung Galaxy S24 series reportedly will return to using the chipset Exynos made by Samsung. Whereas previously the Galaxy S23 series exclusively used the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
This news comes from South Korean media Chosun Media. They report that Samsung will use the Exynos 2400 chipset in the Galaxy S24 series to offset the cost of another upgrade.
This is not the first time that the Galaxy S24 has been rumored to come with the Exynos 2400 chipset. Previously, Korean media Maeil and tipster RGCloudS made similar claims about the Galaxy S24 series.
Back in April, tipster RGCloudS claimed that Samsung will likely use the Exynos 2400 in a limited capacity for the Galaxy S24, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be used in the Plus and Ultra variants.
Other leaks from Chosun Media also reveal the specification upgrades that the Galaxy S24 series will bring. For this latest line of flagship phones, Samsung will reportedly use the 13th generation AMOLED panel.
This new panel will bring a significant upgrade from the 12th generation panel currently used by the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. This panel is claimed to bring advantages such as thinner dimensions, more efficient use of power, and better image quality. Good.
The new iPhone 15 that will be released is also predicted to use the 12th generation panel, so the screen Galaxy S24 series is superior to the new iPhone. Apple is likely to use the 13th generation OLED panel in the iPhone 16.
This leak also indicates that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra with 12GB of RAM and internal memory starting at 256GB. This means that Samsung will eliminate the 128GB version on the Galaxy S24 and offer the 256GB version as the lowest variant, as quoted by Android Authority, Friday (11/8/2023).
If this news is accurate, then Samsung fans don’t need to spend more money to get a higher RAM/storage variant. But that’s only true if Samsung doesn’t increase the price Galaxy S24.
In addition, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly be available with up to 16GB of RAM. This variant is likely to carry 1TB of internal memory.
