A partnership between Samsung and Nat Geo Traveler India led the South Korean brand to enter an interesting experience. On Samsung India's official YouTube channel, the brand presented the one he calls the “first underwater expedition captured by a smartphone”. In the background, literally, was placed a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra diving in the waters of the Maldives Islands.

In this experience, one of the goals of the Asian brand was to highlight the smartphone's underwater photography and video recording capabilities. The adventure was in charge of the diver Malaika Vaz.

The video then shows a beautiful trip to the Maldives, more precisely to the island of Fuvahmulah, which is considered one of the most unique diving destinations due to its crystal clear waters. In the depths it is possible to find a vast ecosystem of corals with different varieties of fish, turtles and also tiger sharks.

Of course, because it is a partnership with National Geographic, the diver praised the performance and results obtained with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. From all aspects, Malaika Vaz highlights the speed of capturing images and videos. Furthermore, it also highlights Samsung's unique feature of capturing an image and being able to generate several different GIFs, videos and photos through the same capture.

The equipment has an IP68 certificate. However, Samsung highlights in the video that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can be submerged up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. As such, experiments of this kind are not advisable unless, as the diver did, she has adequate protective gear and knows what she is doing.
