Samsung expected to drop its price … Samsung will release Galaxy Fold 2 with folding glass at a lower cost

A technical report published today, Monday, by the “Samsung Mobile” website, which specializes in Samsung product news, revealed that the North Korean company will put “Ultra Thin Glass” technology (UTG) with its next foldable phone, Galaxy Fold 2.

The report stated that Samsung will cooperate with the Corning Gorilla Glass factory to reduce the price of the main smartphone foldable glass.

The website quoted informed sources as saying that while Corning’s solution is still in its development stage, it believes that the curvature glass approach will be ready for the 2021 mobile devices.

Samsung first marketed the concept of a foldable phone with a plastic material called “polyimide”, before UTG technology was put on the Galaxy Z Flip earlier this year.

More specifically, informed Korean sources said: Samsung Display and Corning have already agreed to the terms of the new UTG glass supply chain in the United States.
