SEOUL, iNews.id – Samsung staying digadang is preparing an affordable version of the folding screen phone, Galaxy Fold Lite. Unfortunately, the folding screen smartphone will not be seen in the market anytime soon.
The news about cheaper folding screen phones has started to be heard since last month. Galaxy Fold Lite allegedly came with only two cameras to keep the price affordable.
The cover or external screen will also be slimmer than the first generation Galaxy Fold. Unfortunately, Samsung may have decided now is not the right time to launch a new folding screen phone.
Reports from Korean media are quoted from Slash Gears, Monday (6/29/2020), did not explain in detail the reasons for changes in direction other than Samsung pushed the launch to 2021. However, in the same year, Samsung is also expected to issue Galaxy Fold 2.
Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy Fold 2 from August. To note, Samsung has enlivened folding screen phones with a number of its products.
The cellphone issued their first folding screen cellphone in the form of Galaxy Fold. Following Galaxy Fold, the South Korean electronic giant presented the Galaxy Z Flip.
Galaxy Z Flip has a slightly different design from Galaxy Fold. The Z Flip design is more like the latest Motorola Razr, with a bendable screen resembling compact powder.
