Samsung collection appliances will no longer be taken away from you by some collection yards

If you come to the collection yard with a Samsung TV in a week – you won’t go. Instead of liquidating, you will receive a leaflet advising you to call the company’s headquarters. The problem arose when Samsung began paying the liquidation fees, which are part of the price of each new product, to REMA. Asekol, which provided liquidation for Samsung until the end of last year, decided that after seven months of disposing of electrical appliances at its own expense, it would no longer do so.

“Unfortunately, we are no longer able to finance this collection and we have decided to take this step. They will have to find an alternative solution, “explains Asekol’s sales director Daniel Šafář. “If citizens get into complications in the area of taking back used electrical equipment, we are fully prepared to take back,” said a spokeswoman for Rema. “It will be possible to dispose of obsolete Samsung appliances in a wide network of collection points,” says David Sahula of Samsung.

However, according to some mayors, there will be significantly fewer places where it will now be possible to hand over Samsung TVs and monitors. The information the mayors received only yesterday angered them.

According to many, there is also a risk that some appliances will end up in a ditch because of this. The Union of Towns and Municipalities intends to solve the absurd situation with all participants.
