Leroy is the perfect match for Kimberley in every way, except for figure. She shares the doubts she has about this for the first time when they are in the sauna together. “You are not the standard person I would normally approach. I do have a certain image in my head of my partner”, she starts off.
Samantha in tears
Then she starts to cry. “I feel so silly about it. We match so well, but your appearance doesn’t suit me.” Comfortingly, Leroy crawls closer to her. He is willing to change that for her. “I’m not going to tell you that if you lose a few pounds, the feeling is there for me. I don’t want to waste your time.” According to him, she absolutely does not do that: “I like you too much for that”.
When the time comes to decide whether to renew or not, Samantha chooses to end the date anyway. “For me there is nothing more than a friendship. You’re just not a guy I’d normally be attracted to,” she emphasizes again. “I would like to remain friends.”
Thirty kilos lighter
Still, Samantha still has something to say. As tears stream down her face, she starts talking about his weight again. “Perhaps if you had been thirty kilos lighter, I would have thought differently. I’m not slim either, but I do have a preference. It is something you want to wake up to every day.” Leroy has only one thing to say to that: “You know what they say, good tools hang under a roof”.
