Sam Allardyce appointed as the new manager Leeds United. Big Sam has a special task to prevent the Yorkshire club from the brink of relegation.

“The remaining four games of the season will be overseen by experienced head coach Sam Allardyce. Allardyce has managed more than 500 Premier League games in a managerial career spanning 29 years,” said a Leeds statement.

“He brings a wealth of knowledge in the fight for survival, having guided a number of previous clubs to safety.”

Allardyce is indeed regarded as a coach who specializes in low-level teams struggling to escape relegation. He has brought Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Everton out of the red zone when he was appointed as manager in the middle of the season.

Allardyce experienced the only failure when guiding West Bromwich Albion in 2021. Big Sam for the first time relegated from the Premier League in his career.
