According to a message that the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety published on its portal “lebensmittelwarnung.de”, the product affected by the recall is on the clip with the date 27.02. encoded.
According to the information, the goods were sold from 02.03.2020 in various Real branches at the fresh food counter in Northern Bavaria. Small quantities were sold from 28.02.2020 through the intermediaries Wurstwaren Satt in 90562 Kalchreuth and Wurschtladl in 95652 Waldsassen in Northern Bavaria.
In addition, small quantities were also sold through the factory outlet in Rehau from February 28, 2020.
Ingestion is not recommended
“The products should not be consumed,” warns the company. As the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) explains on its website, Salmonella are bacteria whose metabolic products can trigger acute intestinal inflammation, so-called Salmonellosis, in humans.
A typical salmonella infection manifests itself within a few days through nausea, possibly vomiting, abdominal pain, fever and diarrhea. These symptoms can last for a few days. As a rule, the symptoms subside after a few days even without medical treatment.
Infants, toddlers, seniors and people with a weakened immune system in particular can also develop more severe disease courses.
“People who have eaten this food and develop severe or persistent symptoms should seek medical attention and point out a possible salmonella infection,” said the company.
