The Reels feature was activated in summer 2020 and has been very popular ever since. If you don’t know it, you can change that now.
What are Instagram Reels and how do they work?
TikTok users will get used to the reels particularly quickly because they follow a well-known principle:
- Reels are short videos that can be a maximum of 15 seconds long.
- You will find the function in the camera menu next to “Story”.
- You have the choice whether you want to record the video in its entirety or combine it from several clips.
- Special effects – both acoustic and visual – are possible.
- The reel can then be shared in any way, such as a story or a direct message.
With the Reels, Instagram is adding a very popular aspect to its functionality and trying to beat TikTok at its own weapons.-
