Shocking video footage showing an off-duty police officer brutally beating a couple in the middle of the road in Salamis and then getting into his car and disappearing has come to light.
The video document shows the policeman getting into his car after the beating and disappearing.
The complainant describes what she experienced on Live News: “I’m still shocked. This event happened yesterday and I’m still in shock, I can’t digest it, it was deliberate. He knew where to hit and how to hit. A car was coming from the opposite direction and the husband slowed down, the gentleman seems to be in a hurry. He stops the car, gets out, breaks the left traffic light with his foot, gets in to leave, my husband and I get out of the car. He stopped one lane down, gets out of the car. My husband and I went to ask him why, and as he approached, the gentleman hit my husband, threw him down, a girl had gotten out of the car, he told her to get in and let’s go, she hits me too, she throws me down.”
Then the policeman also hits the woman: “He hit me in the neck and I fell down. And at that time a motorcycle was coming and the wheel was close to my head and it was maneuvering. My husband left in an ambulance, it was much more serious than me and he went to the hospital, I was taken to the department to file a lawsuit.”
The woman went to the department to report the attack, and then she realized that the 27-year-old who hit them was a police officer. “They are put by the state to be next to the citizens, these people are supposed to protect us, we were in danger, even losing our lives”
The policeman is known for his “actions”.
Eyewitnesses report to mega that the 27-year-old police officer attacked an elderly man again last August.
“We were riding motorbikes, three friends, and outside a church we saw this particular gentleman hitting a middle-aged man of 55-60 years old. When we stopped and asked what happened guys he said he was looking at me wrong and he said what are you looking at old man and he went and hit him and they exchanged some punches,” said an eyewitness.
Stavros Balaskas reported that a Sworn Administrative Examination has been ordered against the police officer.
