Saint-Martin-d’Heres. Red Cross / Republic: a changing sector

Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrande too…

In recent weeks, several deliberations relating to the Croizat sector have been voted on by the municipal council. All had one thing in common: the acquisition of plots by the City and/or EPFL to use for future projects.

This is precisely the case, higher up on Avenue Ambroise-Croizat, on the Impasse des Charmettes side precisely, where a real estate operation is planned: the construction of 22 housing units with a local shop within the framework of “d’ a process of urban renewal of moderate densification”, of “revitalization of the avenue” and “achievement of the objectives of the Local Housing Program” (PLH).

Other projects are under consideration. On the Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrande site, from André-Chenier to Gay streets, discussions are under way with the owners of the premises (the Congregation of nuns) who, after having sold part of the park adjoining the convent to a real estate developer who built the Equalis housing program, would like to sell the entire site.

To do what next? No certainty. “The land is not buildable. However, there is something to do on the building but without distorting the existing which includes large green spaces. The desire is to keep the site, and in particular the school, and to preserve this space, which is also classified in the local inter-municipal urban plan, ”assures Brahim Cheraa.
