The organizers of SAGA Festival convey, in a press release sent to G4Media.ro, that “Saga Festival is completely against the consumption of banned substances and has zero tolerance for their possession”, the specifications come after five participants in the first evening of concerts went into cardio stop respiratory due to drugs. One of them died.

“For the SAGA festival, the safety of the participants is the most important. That is why we always take all the necessary measures to prevent incidents of any kind. Upon entering the perimeter of the event, security teams check in detail each person accessing the area.
As a confirmation of the position we take, also representing a constancy for us, is this year’s partnership with the National Anti-Drug Agency, which is present at the event with information points, in a campaign to prevent the consumption of banned substances.
SAGA Festival is completely against the use of banned substances and has zero tolerance for their possession and such behavior. That is why every effort is made, in every way, to educate the public in this regard.
Regarding the unfortunate events of Friday night, we mention the fact that the SMURD and Ambulance crews acted quickly to provide first aid to people in need, on the spot and emergency transport to the hospital.
SAGA Festival is about music, about meeting friends, about the safety of participants and informing them, so once again appeals to festival-goers to enjoy the experience of such an event without incentives that can endanger their lives and without any other excesses that can harm physical and moral health and integrity ”.
Context
About 35,000 people attended the National Arena on the first night of the Saga Festival, according to some estimates. Police sources told G4Media.ro that 5 people went into cardiopulmonary arrest, all of them being positive for the anti-drug test. One person died.
Several phone theft complaints were reported and dozens of 112 calls were received regarding music volume. The first evening of concerts ended at 5 in the morning.
