The ex-commander of the battalion company Aidar Yevgeny Dikiy in an interview with Radio NV told how the Russians make their way into Soledare corpses of their own soldiers.
«In fact, they pave their way there with the corpses of their own fighters. In fact, they bombard our defenders there with corpses. But the fact that they suffer terrible losses does not make it easier to stay there. There is this so-called “Russian three-wave”, it is also a “Russian three-layer”, when the first wave goes to the slaughter, the second wave goes to the slaughter. They don’t even do much harm, but while they are being disposed of, the ammunition starts to run out and the weapon starts to wedge, because neither the machine gun nor the machine gun is designed for many hours of continuous fire, ”- told Wild Radio NV.
After that, according to him, the Wagnerites enter the battle – “professionals who have been working in Asia and Africa for many years exactly as hired soldiers” who know how to fight.
«And they come when our defenders are already exhausted, tired, with problems with BC after the disposal of the first waves. And they enter into this close contact battle. So it’s really hard to bear it. And most importantly, it is impossible to get a technical advantage there, because it is not about technology. It’s about the personal endurance of each person in such a very close battle, ”said the ex-commander of the battalion company Aidar.
Dykyi also said that the occupiers use artillery in the residential areas of the city, where both their own and Ukrainian fighters are located, which the Armed Forces do not do.
«If some quarter is not only theirs, but also mixed with our defenders, they calmly bring artillery there. They quite calmly, deliberately kill their own soldiers in order to take ours along with them. This is really something absolutely inhuman, this is something from the time of the Soviet Union, from Marshal Zhukov, ”he said.
On January 13, the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Cherevaty, said that statements of the Russian Federation about the alleged taking of Soledar under its control do not correspond to reality.
According to him, there are fights in the city.
Before that, Cherevaty had reported that the aggressor country concentrated the main forces in the Soledar areaincluding combat units of the Wagnerites.
In the first weeks of 2023 Russia focused its maximum efforts on trying to capture Soledar. Ukrainian defenders continue to defend the city, there are fierce battles.
Russian propaganda previously stated, with reference to PMC Wagner, about the alleged «capture” Soledar, however the Ukrainian General Staff denied this.
