Arka dominated the field from the first whistle. In the tenth minute, Olaf Kobacki was close to getting on the scoresheet. It seemed that the ball would flutter in the Zagłębie goal net after his shot, but it hit the crossbar. Despite this, Kobacki scored the desired goal after a while. He converted a penalty kick awarded after Hubert Matynia played the ball in his own penalty box.

A moment later, the fans in the stands of the Gdynia stadium fell silent for a second. Konrad Wrzesiński beat the Arka goalkeeper, but as it turned out, the 30-year-old was in an offside position during this action, so his goal could not be recognized.
Just over ten minutes before the end of the first half, the hosts had a chance to increase their lead. After a very good action by Arka, Hubert Adamczyk made a strong shot. The football hit the post and left the field of play.
After the break, the guests tried to surprise their opponents. Despite this, Wojciech Łobodziński’s players controlled the game most of the time. Although Arka had a few more opportunities, the result of the clash did not change until the last whistle. The hosts won the match 1-0.
Thanks to this triumph, the team from Gdynia is one step away from direct promotion to the PKO BP Ekstraklasa. Arka is in second place in the table, six points ahead of GKS Katowice. Zagłębie, however, has no chance of maintaining itself. The club’s players from Sosnowiec are at the bottom of the table with only 16 points.
