Russian oppositionist predicted the fate of Putin after the de-occupation of Kherson

A dictator who has suffered a military defeat is no longer considered as such.

If the dictator suffered a military defeat, then his inner circle will remove him from office. This is what awaits Putin when the Armed Forces of Ukraine are released Kherson from Russian invaders.

Andrey Piontkovsky, a Russian opposition figure, shared this opinion in an interview with the FreeDom TV channel.

“You know, this is the rule of authoritarian states and structures: a dictator who has suffered a military defeat ceases to be a dictator. He is replaced by his own environment. [есть] golden rule: a lowered godfather is no longer a godfather. He has already partly survived this situation. In fact, Putin’s war was strategically lost after the failure of his blitzkrieg and the capture of Kyiv,” Piontkovsky said.

Further, the oppositionist said that one such “Kherson” took place. This implies the defeat of Russian troops in the Kyiv region and the subsequent flight. Then officials from the Russian Federation called the retreat planned, they say, the capture of the capital of Ukraine was not part of Russia’s plans, and the main goal has always been “the liberation of Donbass.”

According to Piontkovsky, the first obvious defeat of the Kremlin propaganda managed to soften and then divert people’s attention. But the second time it will not work, and the president will be removed.

The oppositionist also mentioned two members of the so-called “elite” of the Russian Federation, who can be called “greater fascists than Putin.” We are talking about the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, and the entrepreneur, as well as the main shareholder of Rossiya Bank, Yuri Kovalchuk. According to Piontkovsky, these people were pushing Putin to tougher scenarios, and if they come to power, then the war in Ukraine will escalate.

Recall that at the end of July, Vladimir Zelensky announced critical deadlines liberation of the occupied territories. According to him, this should be done within 3-6 weeks.
