Andrey Piontkovsky, a Russian opposition figure, shared this opinion in an interview with the FreeDom TV channel.

The oppositionist also mentioned two members of the so-called “elite” of the Russian Federation, who can be called “greater fascists than Putin.” We are talking about the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, and the entrepreneur, as well as the main shareholder of Rossiya Bank, Yuri Kovalchuk. According to Piontkovsky, these people were pushing Putin to tougher scenarios, and if they come to power, then the war in Ukraine will escalate.
