The Russian military continue their active actions in all directions, focused on weakening the armed forces of Ukraine. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported at a departmental meeting on the successes of the Russian army in Ukraine without saying a word about losses or casualties. The Russian Defense Ministry last reported casualties in September 2022, and was then forced to admit casualties in the early days of this year after leaks of “New Year’s gift” in Makeevka.
According to the Russian Defense Minister, Kiev is desperately gathering new forces to storm Russian positionseverywhere without success, and his losses for a month have exceeded 20,800 people and 2,227 units of armament, including 10 Leopard tanks, 11 American Bradley infantry vehicles, 50 self-propelled artillery units again of Western manufacture and 40 M777 howitzers.
TASS explicitly recalls that on July 3, Shoigu reported that in one month, about 2,500 units of weapons were destroyed, including 920 units of armored vehicles, including 16 Leopard tanks.
It is obvious that the Western armament supplied to Kiev does not lead to successes on the battlefield, but only deepens the military conflict, concluded Shoigu.
According to Shoigu no breakthrough was allowed anywhere along the line of contact in Ukraine thanks to the competently built defense, the skillful organization of the fire system, the professional actions, the endurance and perseverance of the Russian servicemen.
The minister reported that a large-scale attempt by the Ukrainian army to break through was repelled in the direction of Orekhov, and in the area of Rabotine settlement alone, Kiev lost 31 tanks, including three Leopard and two French, 32 armored vehicles and over 400 people. It also reports on “the release of Kovalevka and Sergeevka in the Krasnoliman district and of Molchanovka in the Kupyan district. Despite reporting victories in three localities, Shoigu’s statement generally followed a defensive line maintained by the Russian military.
The minister also talked about the intensified protection of infrastructure objects that Ukraine is trying to attack because of the failure of its counteroffensive and thanked the military for their service, bravery and heroism.
The agency also presents the plans of the Ministry of Defense to conclude contracts for more than 433 billion rubles during military-technical forum “Army 2023”which will be held in August and where more than 1,500 enterprises are expected to exhibit 28,000 samples of their products, including those that have “passed trials in a real combat environment”.
