The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the attempts of the United States to shift responsibility for the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection to the World Health Organization (WHO).
“Against the backdrop of the rapid spread in the world of a new coronavirus infection, there are concerns regarding the attempts to shift responsibility to the worsening epidemiological situation to others,” it says in a diplomatic post on Facebook.
The Russian Foreign Ministry clarified that this is how the accusations on the part of the United States against WHO should be regarded, which “allegedly” missed “a dangerous disease.”
Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on statements by US authorities about the intention to revise the amount of financing of the World Health Organization.
