Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Russo-Ukrainian war is still going on. As the situation heated up in the Bakhmut region, Eastern Ukraine, due to Russian mercenaries demonstrating to the Kremlin over the lack of ammunition against Ukraine, now a new chapter is taking place.

In the update AFP, On Sunday, a Russian fighter jet reportedly intercepted a plane on patrol by NATO member country Poland. It is understood the jet was carrying out operations for the European Union (EU) border agency in the Black Sea.

The Russian Sukhoi Su-35 suddenly performed an aggressive and dangerous maneuver near the Polish aircraft, the L-410 Turbolet. The Sukhoi jet flew directly in front of the L-410’s nose and crossed its path at a distance of “about five meters” (16 feet).

This caused the Polish plane to experience turbulence. Even the crew had lost control of the plane and the altitude.

“The pilot lost control of the plane,” said the Polish border troops, quoted Monday (8/5/2023).

The spokesperson for the Polish government also spoke about this. He accused Russia of doing it on purpose.

“The provocation planned by Russia,” he told local television.

Meanwhile, Romania, also reported this incident. During the incident, Poland was conducting routine Frontex patrols with the Romanian border police.

Despite having lost control, the pilot reportedly managed to land the plane safely to Romania. It was also reported that NATO had previously warned Romanian and Spanish planes about Russia.

“It happened in international airspace over the Black Sea, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of Romanian airspace, the Bucharest government said.

“This incident is further evidence of the provocative approach of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea,” he added.

There has been no further comment from the Secretary General of NATO. The Kremlin government also did not confirm.
