Russian Black Sea Fleet: Strikes and Setbacks in Occupied Crimea

The officer noted that the logistics necessary for loading missiles and servicing ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet remain in occupied Sevastopol.

“You are seeing such a big pause in the use of missiles because the enemy is now faced with the problem of lack of logistics,” explains Pletenchuk.

The Navy notes that the interventionists cannot load Kalibr-type missiles in the Russian city of Novorossiysk. And until the enemy’s problem is solved, the invaders cannot launch attacks from the sea.

“Or they need to go to Sevastopol to recharge. And this is dangerous for them,” says Pletenchuk.

He also added that Russian troops continue to accumulate missiles for an attack on Ukraine – this also explains the “pauses” that the Russians are forced to withstand between their strikes, because the Russian defense industry is not able to quickly supply such weapons in the required quantities.

Earlier, the representative of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, said that as a result of the recent successful strike on the Russian corvette Askold in occupied Kerch, the Russians had to take an “operational pause.”

Attacks on Russian ships

Let us recall that last week the Ukrainian military carried out several successful operations to destroy Russian ships in the Black Sea.

Thus, on November 4, the Defense Forces struck the Zaliv shipyard in Crimea. As a result of the attack, the carrier of the Caliber corvette Askold, which the invaders were planning to launch and enter into the Black Sea Fleet in December of this year, was damaged.

The Office of Strategic Communications of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed photos of the consequences. The footage showed that the Defense Forces caused significant damage to the enemy ship Askold. According to available information, the Russian ship received significant damage and may be beyond repair.

In addition, on November 10, GUR intelligence officers conducted a successful special operation in Crimea. In the village of Chernomorskoye, two small landing ships were hit; losses in Russian personnel are being clarified.

The Main Intelligence Directorate later confirmed that on November 10, an operation was carried out using surface drones. One ship of the older project 1176 “Shark”, another newer one – project 11770 “Chamois” sank.
