KIEV – Moscow action in Ukraine will receive such a strong international response that Russia may eventually need humanity’s own corridor. That’s the warning issued by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky .

“The Ukrainian military made sure there was a ceasefire so that the humanitarian corridor would work. If the (Russian) invaders start shooting again and interfere with the rescue of our people, in the end, they will receive an answer from the world that they themselves will need a humanitarian corridor,” Zelensky warned in a video speech released on Friday. Russia TodaySaturday (12/3/2022).

The Ukrainian leader said the fact that Russia’s assault on Ukraine had been going on for more than two weeks meant “there has not been an adequate package of sanctions.”

“I expect – we are working on it – a new restriction decision from our partners already today,” he said.

During his speech, Zelensky reacted to the European Council’s decision on Friday not to accelerate his country’s application to join the European Union (EU).

“Something stronger is needed. This is what we are waiting for now,” he said.

Most EU citizens support his bid to become a member, the Ukrainian president said, adding that the decisions of politicians should match the mood of the people.
